Disembarked in Liverpool, England and proceeded to Seaford where he was Taken On Strength of the 6th Reserve Battalion

 

Aug 9, 1918

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

Arrived at the No. 2 CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Aug 15, 1918

After leaving the base depot, Private Barrett joined the 21st Battalion rear details near Rosieres en Santerre, France

 

Aug 26, 1918

During an attack on the Minora Trench, north of the Cojeul River, east of Neuville-Vitasse, France, Private Barrett received a wound to his left leg and in the confusion of battle, was reported to be Missing in Action.  He was later found wounded and evacuated to a casualty clearing station before being transferred to the No. 22 General Hospital in Camiers, France.

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Princess Elizabeth

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Royal Herbert Hospital, Woolwich, London

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Oct 22, 1918

Transferred to the Horton County of London War Hospital in Epsom

 

Nov 28, 1918

Transferred to the Woodcote Park Military Convalescent Hospital in Epsom

 

Dec 9, 1918

Discharged from hospital and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

Granted sick leave until December 19, 1918

 

Dec 27, 1918

Attached to Military District No. 3 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada

 

Jan 11, 1919

Embarked the SS Olympic in Southampton

 

 

Jan 17, 1919

Disembarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario where he was Taken On Strength of Military District No. 3 Casualty Company
