Although the date is not recorded in the copy of the file that I have, his medals card shows that the British War Medal and the Victory Medals were sent to him at Glen Miller Ontario

An application was made to the Great War Veterans Association for assistance.  He declared that he was the sole supporter of his mother and several siblings as his father has been “mentally insane” since June of 1914.  There is no indication that this application was approved.
