Admitted to the No. 14 Canadian General Hospital in Eastbourne with a diagnosis that reads Onychia, a toe nail infection.  The nail of the great toe of his left foot was removed

Transferred to the Canadian Red Cross Hospital in the Cooden Camp, Bexhill

 

Sep 6, 1918

Discharged to duty from hospital and rejoined the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

 

Sep 26, 1918

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Sep 27, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Sep 28, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Oct 3, 1918

Before he could join the 21st Battalion at the front, he was transferred to the 44th Battalion.

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Boyd joined the 44th Battalion west of Douai, France as part of a draft of 98 reinforcements
