In October of 1901 Frank married Elizabeth Ann Wyeth on Isle of Wight, England.  Elizabeth died in October of 1908 on the Isle of Wight

In April of 1909 Frank married Mellina Davies on the Isle of Wight

Attested into the 21st Battalion in Kingston, Ontario

Ø  Previous occupation given as Electrician

Ø  Previous military experience given as Governor General’s Foot Guard in Ottawa and 12 years in the Royal Engineers in England

Ø  Religion given as Church of England

Ø  Posted to the Headquarters Section and noted as a Piper

The 21st Battalion trained in the Kingston, Ontario area through the winter of 1914-15.

Admitted to Kingston Military Hospital with a diagnosis that reads Erysipelas, a bacterial skin infection

Ø  Patient was admitted to hospital suffering from Erysipelas

Ø  He now also suffers from Pericarditis (a heart inflammation) and Nephritis (Kidney Disease)

Ø  His condition has been caused by his service

Ø  Probable duration of his disability is 6 months

Ø  Board recommends he be discharged from hospital and allowed to proceed home and then be re-examined in 6 months

Frank Budd was discharged from the CEF as Medically Unfit

On March 24, 1919 the service number 60209 was added to his file.  There was no explanation for this

 

Jul 10, 1956

Frank Edward Budd died in Montreal, Quebec and interred in the Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery there
