Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he arrived at the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Card joined the 21st Battalion in Guillaucourt, France

 

Aug 26, 1918

During the advance on Achicourt, France, Private Card was wounded in the right foot by shrapnel and evacuated to the No. 4 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to a CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Aug 27, 1918

Transferred to the No. 55 General Hospital in Boulogne, France

 

Aug 31, 1918

Invalided to England board the Hospital Ship Cambria

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Auxiliary Military Hospital in Frodsham

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Dec 16, 1918

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

On admission it was noted that the wound had healed, but he could not put any weight on his right foot and could not flex his toes on that foot

 

Jan 29, 1919

Discharged from hospital and attached to the 3rd CCD (Canadian Command Depot) in Seaford for physical training and exercise

Granted 12 days sick leave

Feb 20, 1919

Discharged from hospital care and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

Attached to Military District No. 3 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada
