Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

Before he could join the 21st Battalion at the front, he was diverted and transferred to the 44th Battalion

Private Cattanach joined the 44th Battalion resting in billets near Douai, France

During heavy fighting south of Valenciennes, France, Private Cattanach received shrapnel wounds to both legs and was evacuated to the No. 13 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 6 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Transferred via the No. 37 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 7 Canadian General Hospital in Etaples, France

 

Nov 12, 1918

Transferred to the No. 6 Canadian Convalescent Depot in Etaples

 

Nov 14, 1918

Transferred to the No. 5 Canadian Convalescent Depot in Cayeux, France

 

Nov 23, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and reported to the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples

 

Nov 27, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CCRC (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Dec 9, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Cattanach rejoined the 44th Battalion in billets in Ville sur Haine, Belgium

Embarked in Havre, France and on disembarking in Southampton, England, proceeded to Bramshott where he was Taken On Strength “E” Wing pending return to Canada
