Before he could join the 29th Battalion at the front, he was diverted and transferred to the 21st Battalion and proceeded to the CCRC (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Cohen joined the 21st Battalion at the front line on the Arras – Cambrai Road just west of Canal du Nord

During the capture of Iwuy, France, Private Cohen received a bullet wound to his chest and was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance)

Transferred to the No. 33 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Transferred via the No. 32 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 11 Stationary Hospital in Rouen, France

 

Oct 21, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Essequibo

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the No. 2 Southern General Hospital in Bristol

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Epsom

Discharged from hospital and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford
