Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

While still at the reinforcement camp, before he could join the 21st Battalion at the front, he was transferred to the 44th Battalion

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Cunningham joined the 44th Battalion resting in billets at Douai, France

Admitted to the No. 13 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) with a diagnosis that reads Tonsillitis.  He was transferred the same day to the No. 47 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Transferred via the No. 33 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 4 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Mar 11, 1919

Transferred to the No. 46 Stationary Hospital in Etaples, France and the diagnosis was changed to read Diphtheria and placed in isolation

 

Apr 23, 1919

Invalided to England

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the 16 Canadian General Hospital in Orpington

Transferred to the NBRD (New Brunswick Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

Discharged from hospital and transferred to the 13th Reserve Battalion in Ripon

Transferred to the New Brunswick Regimental Depot and shown as AWL (Absent Without Leave) when he failed to return from his leave
