After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private De Pratto joined the 21st Battalion west of Marcelcave, France and was posted to “A” Company

While advancing towards the Sensee river, south-east of Vis en Artois, France, Private De Pratto received a shrapnel wound to his right hand and was evacuated to the No. 8 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to a casualty clearing station

 

Aug 29, 1918

Transferred to the No. 56 General Hospital in Etaples, France

 

Aug 31, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Ville de Liege

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the 2nd Western General Hospital in Manchester

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Sep 6, 1918

Transferred to the Hartley College Auxiliary Hospital in Manchester

 

Oct 16, 1918

Transferred to the Princess Patricia Canadian Red Cross Hospital in the Cooden Camp, Bexhill

 

Dec 12, 1918

Discharged from hospital and attached to the CDD (Canadian Discharge Depot) in Buxton pending return to Canada
