Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion EOR (Eastern Ontario Regiment) in Ottawa, Ontario under the MSA

Embarked the SS Lapland in Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

Feb 25, 1918

Disembarked in Glasgow, Scotland and proceeded to Seaford, England where the entire draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

 

Jun 10, 1918

Posted to the 21st Battalion

 

Jun 11, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and TOS (Taken On Strength) the 21st Battalion

 

Jun 17, 1918

Left the CIBD and joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast

 

Aug 7, 1918

Left the CC Rein C and joined the 21st Battalion’s Rear Details in Cagny.  The main body of the battalion was preparing for the advance on Marcelcave

 

Aug 17, 1918

The battalion came out of the front line and Private Desloges, along with the Rear Details, joined the battalion in Caix Wood and assigned to “D” Company

 

Dec 13, 1918

The 21st Battalion marched across the Bonn Bridge and entered Germany as part of the occupying force and proceeded to Seigburg

 

Apr 3, 1919

Embarked the Western Australia in Havre, France

 

 

On disembarking in England he proceeded to “P” Wing in Witley pending his return to Canada

 

May 14, 1919

Embarked the SS Caronia in Liverpool

 

May 23, 1919

Disembarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario by train

 

May 24, 1919

Discharged from the CEF in Kingston 

Ø      Rank on discharge Lance Corporal

Ø      War Service Badge Class “A” issued number 277459

Ø      Proposed residence on discharge Sparks Street Post Office, Ottawa, Ontario

Following the war the British War Medal and Victory Medals were sent to him at 92 Levis St, Hull, Quebec

Joseph Desloges passed away.  I have been unable to discover the location of either his death or internment
