The 3rd Regimental Draft embarked the SS Melita in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Disembarked in Liverpool, England and proceeded to Seaford where the draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

 

Aug 9, 1918

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken on Strength of the 21st Battalion

Shortly after his arrival in France, he joined the 21st Battalion at the front

 

Aug 27, 1918

While advancing south of the Arras – Cambrai Road just east of Vis en Artois, France, Private Devine received shrapnel wounds to his back and left arm.  He was evacuated to the No. 4 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 7 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Transferred via the No. 5 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 53 General Hospital in Boulogne, France

 

Sep 10, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship St. David

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the University College Hospital in London

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Oct 9, 1918

Transferred to the CCH (Canadian Convalescent Hospital) in Bearwood, Wokingham

 

Nov 1, 1918

Transferred to the 1st CCD (Canadian Command Depot) for therapy and exercise in Witley

 

Nov 14, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

 

Nov 28, 1918

Transferred to the Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot and attached to the 6th Reserve Battalion

 

Dec 10, 1918

Ceased to be attached to the 6th Reserve Battalion and joined the Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot in Witley and posted to the Depot Company
