During the liberation of the town of Iwuy, France the previous day, Private Doughty received a shrapnel wound to his right arm and was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 1 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Transferred via the No. 23 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 22 General Hospital in Camiers, France

Transferred to the No. 6 Convalescent Depot in Etaples, France
