Disembarked in Glasgow, Scotland and proceeded to Seaford, England where the draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Jun 11, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Doyle joined the 21st Battalion at Fosseux, France as part of draft of 11 reinforcements and was posted to “D” Company

 

Aug 7, 1918

While preparing for the attack on Marcelcave, France that was to take place the next day, Private Doyle received a severe shrapnel wound to his right leg and was evacuated to the No. 5 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 5 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Aug 8, 1918

Transferred via the No. 9 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 47 General Hospital in Le Treport, France

 

Aug 16, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Aberdonian

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Princess Club Hospital, Bermondsey

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Sep 10, 1918

Transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

 

Sep 25, 1918

Surgery performed and a piece of clothing was removed from the wound

 

Oct 2, 1918

Transferred to the No. 11 Canadian General Hospital in Moore Barracks, Shorncliffe

 

Nov 22, 1918

Transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital in Bear Wood Park, Wokingham

Discharged from hospital care and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford
