After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Dufresne joined the 21st Battalion in Fosseux, France as part of a draft of 11 reinforcements

During the liberation of the town of Iwuy, France, Private Dufresne received a shrapnel wound to his back and was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 1 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Transferred via the No. 16 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 18 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Nov 13, 1918

Transferred to the No. 6 Convalescent Depot in Etaples, France

Transferred to the No. 5 Convalescent Depot in Cayeux, France

 

Dec 7, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and reported to the Canadian Infantry Base Depot in Etaples, France
