Disembarked in Liverpool, England and proceeded to Seaford where the draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

 

Aug 9, 1918

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Aug 15, 1918

After leaving the base depot, Private Dwyer joined the 21st Battalion’s rear details near Rosieres, France as part of a draft of 48 reinforcements and was posted to “A” Company

 

Aug 28, 1918

While the 21st Battalion was advancing along the Arras – Cambrai Road, south-east of Vis en Artois, France, Private Dwyer received a bullet wound that passed through his right leg.  He was evacuated to a field ambulance for first aid

 

Aug 29, 1918

Transferred to the No. 7 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Aug 31, 1918

Transferred to the No. 83 General Hospital in Boulogne, France

 

Sep 4, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship St. David

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Manor House War Hospital in Folkestone

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in Hospital

 

Jan 18, 1919

Transferred to the No. 11 Canadian General Hospital in Shorncliffe

 

Mar 26, 1919

Granted 12 days sick leave

 

Apr 29, 1919

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom
