The depot’s 4th draft embarked the SS Toloa in Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

 

Apr 28, 1918

Disembarked in England and proceeded to Seaford where the entire draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

 

Sep 26, 1918

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Sep 27, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Sep 28, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Oct 3, 1918

While still at the reinforcement camp, and before he could join the 21st Battalion at the front, he was transferred to the 44th Battalion

 

Oct 6, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Eager joined the 44th Battalion west of Douai, France

 

Nov 1, 1918

While the battalion was advancing south of Valenciennes, France, Private Eager received wounds to his right leg and neck.  He was evacuated to the No. 11 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transferred to the No. 22 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Nov 8, 1918

Transferred to the No. 4 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Nov 12, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Brighton

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Nell Lane Military Hospital in Manchester

Transferred to the NBRD (New Brunswick Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Nov 27, 1918

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

 

Dec 23, 1918

Discharged from hospital and attached to the 1st CCD (Canadian Command Depot) in Witley for physical training and exercise

Granted 12 days sick leave

 

Jan 13, 1919

Transferred to the 13th Reserve Battalion in Witley

 

Jan 24, 1919

Transferred to Military District No. 3 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada

 

Feb 20, 1919

Embarked the SS Lapland in Liverpool

 

 

Mar 1, 1919

Disembarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario where he was Taken On Strength Military District No. 3 Casualty Company
