Transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Aug 15, 1918

After leaving the base depot, Private Eagley joined the 21st Battalion west of Fouquescourt, France and was posted to “A” Company

 

Aug 29, 1918

While the battalion was approaching the Sensee River south of Vis en Artois, France, Private Eagley was overcome by a gas attack and was evacuated to the No. 7 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station) for first aid before being transferred via the No. 27 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 53 General Hospital in Boulogne, France

Transferred to the No. 1 Convalescent Depot in Boulogne

 

Sep 8, 1918

Transferred to the No. 10 Convalescent Depot in Ecault, France

 

Sep 15, 1918

After developing diarrhea, he was transferred to the No. 25 General Hospital in Hardelot, France

 

Sep 20, 1918

Transferred to the No. 1 Convalescent Depot in Boulogne

 

Sep 22, 1918

Transferred to the No. 10 Convalescent Depot in Ecault

 

Oct 22, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and moved to the nearby rest camp

 

Oct 24, 1918

After leaving the rest camp, he reported to the Canadian Infantry Base Depot in Etaples

 

Oct 30, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Eagley rejoined the 21st Battalion resting in Aniche, France

Admitted to the No. 6 Canadian Field Ambulance with a diagnosis that reads NYD (Not Yet Determined) Venereal Sore.  He was transferred the same day to the No. 44 Casualty Clearing Station

Transferred via the No. 1 Ambulance Train and admitted to the No. 1 Casualty Clearing Station

 

Dec 3, 1918

Transferred to the No. 4 Casualty Clearing Station then on to the No. 57 Casualty Clearing Station

 

Dec 6, 1918

Transferred via the No. 20 Ambulance Train and admitted to the No. 7 Canadian Stationary Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Jan 20, 1919

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Brighton

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Canadian Special Hospital in Witley and the diagnosis was changed to read VDS (Venereal Disease Syphilis)

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Feb 14, 1919

Discharged from hospital and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

 

Apr 12, 1919

Transferred to Military District No. 3 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada

 

May 7, 1919

Embarked the SS Celtic in Liverpool

 

 

May 15, 1919

Disembarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario where he was Taken On Strength of Military District No. 3 Casualty Company

 

May 17, 1919

Discharged from the CEF in Kingston, Ontario
