Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Aug 18, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Aug 23, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Aug 28, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Eano joined the 21st Battalion on the south side of the Arras – Cambrai Road, south east of Vis en Artois, France

 

Oct 9, 1918

During the move into a rest area at Escaudoeuvers, France, the battalion came under an enemy artillery attack and Private Eano received shrapnel wounds to his left ankle and was evacuated to a field ambulance for first aid before being transported to the No. 1 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Oct 11, 1918

Transferred via the No. 21 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 26 General Hospital in Etaples, France

 

Oct 19, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Ville de Liege

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the County of Middlesex War Hospital, Napsbury, St. Albans

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Dec 16, 1918

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

 

Jan 6, 1919

Attached to the 1st CCD (Canadian Command Depot) in Witley

Granted 12 days Sick Leave

 

Jan 28, 1919

Discharged from hospital care and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

 

Feb 13. 1919

Transferred to Military District No. 3 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada
