The battalion trained through the 1914-15 winter in the Kingston area

Frank Egan purchased his discharge from the CEF.  There is no discharge certificate in the file.

 
Note that the battalion departed Kingston the following day by train to proceed to England

Married to Margaret Doolette McIntosh in Cataraqui, Ontario (now part of Kingston)

 
The status of his previous marriage is unclear as his first wife, Ada, was living in the United States and he declared that he was a bachelor on the marriage certificate

Franklin Egan died in Slave Lake, Alberta
