The depot’s 4th draft embarked the SS Toloa in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Disembarked in England and proceeded to Seaford where the entire draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

Admitted to the Ravenscroft Military Hospital in Seaford and transferred to the No. 14 Canadian General Hospital in Eastbourne with a diagnosis that reads Mumps

Discharged to duty from hospital

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Sep 27, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

While still at the reinforcement camp, before he could join the 21st Battalion at the front, he was transferred to the 44th Battalion

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Erwin joined the 44th Battalion west of Douai, France

 

Nov 1, 1918

While the 44th Battalion was advancing towards Famars, France, Private Erwin received a shrapnel wound to his right shoulder and was evacuated to the No. 13 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 12 Canadian Field Ambulance.  He was then transported to the No. 6 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Nov 6, 1918

Transferred via the No. 37 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 4 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Nov 9, 1918

Transferred to the No. 6 Convalescent Depot in Etaples, France

 

Nov 24, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and reported to the Canadian Infantry Base Depot in Etaples

 

Nov, 27, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Dec 9, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Erwin rejoined the 44th Battalion in Ville sur Haine, Belgium

Embarked a troop ship in Havre, France

On arrival in England, he proceeded to Bramshott where he was Taken On Strength “E” Wing pending return to Canada

Embarked the Empress of Britain in Liverpool

Disembarked in Quebec City, Quebec and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario where he was Taken On Strength of Military District No. 3 Casualty Company

Discharged from the CEF in Kingston, Ontario
