Same as usual, only did not go to ranges as it was wet.  Had drill as usual in afternoon

 

November 2, 1917

PT, CO’s parade and ½ hr bayonet fighting.  Got pass to go to Seaford in afternoon.  Left 5.20 for Manchester.  Stayed overnight in London

 

November 3, 1917

Left London noon, reached Manchester 4.30, went to YMCA for night

 

November 4, 1917

Went to service in Manchester Cathedral in forenoon

 

November 5, 1917

Received 3 days extension this morning

 

November 6, 1917

In town.  Went to picture show in afternoon

 

November 7, 1917

In town, went to show at theatre in afternoon

 

November 8, 1917

In town, left at 2.10 pm to come back, arrived in camp 11.30 pm

 

November 9, 1917

Went sick, fainted in Dr’s office.  Excused duty

 

November 10, 1917

Went sick.  Excused duty

 

November 11, 1917

Went sick.  Excused duty

 

November 12, 1917

Went sick.  Excused duty

 

November 13, 1917

Sent to Ravenscroft Hospital

Paid 10/s.  In hospital
