July 1, 1917

Church Parade this morning on Cricket ground here to celebrate 50th Anniversary of Confederation of Canadian Provinces.  Was put on as Military Police guarding prisoners on 2nd field Punishment, 24 hours on, 24 hours off.

 

July 2, 1917

Off today.  Lay around and slept

 

July 3, 1917

On duty today.  Had 11 men up for Orderly Room.  Had to act as escort for them

 

July 4, 1917

July 5, 1917

On duty today.  Revallie at 3 am.  Breakfast 4 am.  Parade 5.30, entrained 7 am for Seaford.  Arrived there 10 am.  Went into huts in South Camp.  MP job finished.  All No. 3 command moved here.

 

July 6, 1917

On fatigues today.  Seen big bunch of old fellows here in 6th Reserve Bttn tonight

 

July 7, 1917

On fatigues in forenoon.  Off duty in afternoon.  Slept in hut.  In evening went down along by the sea coast

 

July 8, 1917

Church Parade in forenoon.  Minister, Major Pringle of the 15th Bn, over the 3rd Brigade.  Went down along the coast in afternoon

 

July 9, 1917

Got a Medical Board this morning, was marked 4th Class and had dental inspection.  OK.  Moved over to C Company’s lines in afternoon.  Got inoculated in forenoon.

 

July 10, 1917

Off parade today on account of inoculation

On some light fatigues all today

 

July 12, 1917

On fatigues today.  All day

 

July 13, 1917

On fatigues today.  All day

 

July 14, 1917

Paid today £2.  On fatigues in forenoon.  Went into town of Seaford in afternoon and got a few necessary things

Church Parade this morning held in a large YMCA hut about ½ mile away.

Started Physical drill this morning.  PT and short route march in afternoon

Physical drill and route march today

 

July 18, 1917

Rained all forenoon.  Had Bathing Parade and had a route march in afternoon

 

July 19, 1917

PT and route march today.  All Depot CB (confined to barracks) tonight

 

July 20, 1917

Off CB today.  Called off parade in am to fill in furlough papers.  On fatigues in afternoon

On PT in forenoon, on fatigues in afternoon.  Raining.

Church Parade in forenoon to YMCA.  Read in hut in afternoon

PT in forenoon.  PT and short route march in afternoon
