Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Aug 28, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Gibson joined the 21st Battalion at the front west of the Sensee River, south of Vis en Artois, France

 

Oct 11, 1918

During the capture of Iwuy, France, Private Gibson received a machine gun bullet wound to his right shoulder and was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 1 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Oct 12, 1918

Transferred via the No. 22 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 18 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Oct 21, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Princess Elizabeth

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Berrington War Hospital, Shrewsbury

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Nov 15, 1918

Transferred to the Canadian Military Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

 

Nov 29, 1918

Discharged from hospital and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

Granted 12 days sick leave

 

Dec 27. 1918

Attached to Military District No. 3 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada

Embarked the SS Olympic in Southampton
