The 3rd Regimental Draft embarked the SS Melita in Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

 

Mar 4, 1918

Disembarked in Liverpool, England and proceeded to Seaford where the draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

 

Aug 9, 1918

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Aug 15, 1918

After leaving the base depot, Private Green joined the 21st Battalion in Fouquescourt, France and was posted to “C” Company

 

Aug 29, 1918

During a move from Wancourt to Arras, Private Green received a shrapnel wound to his left leg and was evacuated to the No. 3 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to a CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Aug 30, 1918

Transferred to the No. 2 Australian General Hospital in Wimereux, France

 

Sep 2, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship St. David

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Whipps Cross War Hospital in Leytonstone

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Nov 13, 1918

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

 

Jan 24, 1919

Discharged from hospital and reported to the Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot in Seaford

Granted 10 days sick leave

 

Feb 3, 1919

On completion of his leave, he was posted to the Depot Company, Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot in Seaford

 

Mar 1, 1919

Transferred to Military District No. 3 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada

 

Mar 22, 1919

Embarked the SS Regina in Liverpool

 

 

Mar 30, 1919

Disembarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario

Alfred Kenneth Green died of Congestive Heart Failure while a patient of the Cottage Hospital in Pembroke, Ontario and was buried in the St. John’s Anglican Cemetery in Eganville
