Arrived at the CBD (Canadian Base Depot) in the Rouelles Camp, Havre, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Jan 6, 1917

Admitted to the No. 20 General Hospital in Camiers, France with a diagnosis that reads Epididymitis.  He was transferred the same day to the No. 39 General Hospital in Havre, France

 

Jan 17, 1917

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Havre then discharged from hospital care and rejoined the 21st Battalion

 

Apr 13, 1917

During the capture of the railway station at Vimy, France, Lieutenant Hall received shrapnel wounds to his left arm and left leg.  He was evacuated to the No. 5 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid.

 

Apr 14, 1917

Transferred to the nearby casualty clearing station and immediately transferred to the Military General Hospital in Boulogne, France

 

Apr 16, 1917

Invalided to England

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the 3rd London General Hospital, Wandsworth, London

Transferred to the Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot for pay purposed while in Hospital

 

May 10, 1917

Discharged to duty from hospital and posted to the Regimental Depot in Seaford

 

May 30, 1917

Granted sick leave

 

Jun 1, 1917

Reported to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford from leave

 

Jun 7, 1917

Transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

 

Jun 9, 1917

Admitted to the 2nd Eastern General Hospital (Preston Barracks) in Brighton with a diagnosis that reads VDG (Venereal Disease Gonorrhea)

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Lieutenant Hall joined the 21st Battalion north of Cambrai, France and was posted to “B” Company

During fighting along the Arras – Cambrai Road in France, Lieutenant Hall received wounds to his right leg and after receiving first aid, was transferred to the No. 14 General Hospital in Wimereux, France

 

Aug 29, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Stad Antwerpen

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Horton, County of London War Hospital in Epsom

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Oct 4, 1918

Transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Officer’s Hospital in Matlock, Bath

 

Oct 11, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

Granted sick leave until November 10, 1918

 

Nov 29, 1918

Transferred to the Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot and attached to the CDD (Canadian Discharge Depot) in Buxton pending return to Canada

 

Dec 10, 1918

Transferred to the Kinmel Park, Rhyl Discharge Centre

Appointed to rank of Acting Captain while in charge of a Company

 

Dec 27, 1918

Struck Off Strength of the 21st Battalion Establishment

Transferred to Military District No. 11 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada

Relinquished the rank of Acting Captain and reverted to the rank of Lieutenant

In the 1930s and 40s, Perry Hall was involved in curling at a
high level for the Kitchener and Waterloo Curling Club
and in 1939 was a member of the team that won the
Canadian Curling Championship

Perry George Hall died and was buried in the Ayr Cemetery, Ayr, Ontario
