The 3rd Regimental Draft embarked the SS Melita in Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

 

Mar 4, 1918

Disembarked in Liverpool, England and proceeded to Seaford where the draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

 

Aug 9, 1918

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

On arrival in France, he was Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion.  However, it was discovered that he was suffering from influenza and an abscessed ankle and he was admitted to the No. 3 Canadian General Hospital in Boulogne

 

Aug 28, 1918

Transferred to the 7th Convalescent Depot in Boulogne, France

 

Aug 31, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and joined the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples

 

Sep 11, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast

 

Sep 14, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Hart joined the 21st Battalion in the front line near Buissy, France

 

Oct 11, 1918

During the capture of Iwuy, France, Private Hart received a bullet wound to his right hand and was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to a CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Oct 12, 1918

Transferred to the No. 4 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Oct 16, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Ville de Liege

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Edmonton General Hospital in London

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Nov 21, 1918

Transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

 

Dec 18, 1918

Attached to the 1st CCD (Canadian Command Depot)

Granted 12 days sick leave

 

Jan 7, 1919

Discharged from hospital care and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford
