Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 29th Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CCRC (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

While still at the reinforcement camp and before he could join the 29th at that front, he was diverted and transferred to the 21st Battalion

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Howieson joined the 21st Battalion near Buissy, France

 

Oct 11, 1918

During the capture of Iwuy, France, Private Howieson received a wound to his left leg and was evacuated to a field ambulance for first aid before being transported to a casualty clearing station

 

Oct 13, 1918

Transferred to the No. 26 General Hospital in Etaples, France

 

Oct 14, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Ville de Liege

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Cambridge Hospital in Aldershot

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Oct 18, 1918

Transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital in Bearwood Park, Epsom

 

Dec 4, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford
