The 3rd Regimental Draft embarked the SS Melita in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Disembarked in Liverpool, England and proceeded to Seaford where the draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Jun 11, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Jun 17, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Jun 27, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Kyer joined the 21st Battalion resting in Fosseux, France

 

Aug 16, 1918

During the capture of Fransart, France, Private Kyer suffered the effects of a gas shell and was evacuated to a field ambulance for first aid before being transported to a casualty clearing station

 

Aug 18, 1918

Transferred to the No. 6 General Hospital in Rouen, France

 

Aug 20, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Gloucester Castle

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the 2nd Western General Hospital in Manchester

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Aug 26, 1918

Transferred to the Bank Meadow Hospital in Manchester

 

Aug 30, 1918

Transferred to the Canadian Military Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

 

Sep 18, 1918

Discharged from hospital and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

Granted sick leave until September 28, 1918

 

Dec 3, 1918

Attached to Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada

 

Dec 12, 1918

Embarked the SS Regina in Liverpool

 

 

Dec 20, 1918

Disembarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario where he was Taken On Strength Military District No. 3 Casualty Company
