Released from the segregation camp and joined the 1st Reserve Battalion in Seaford

Transferred to the 29th Battalion

 

Sep 14, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 29th Battalion

 

Sep 16, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CCRC (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Sep 29, 1918

While still at the reinforcement camp and before he could join the 29th at that front, he was diverted and transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Oct 2, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Lamont joined the 21st Battalion south-west of Bourlon, France as part of a draft of 156 reinforcements and was posted to “D” Company

 

Oct 11, 1918

During the capture of Iwuy, France, Private Lamont received a wound to his right leg and was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 1 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Oct 13, 1918

Transferred via the No. 146 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 18 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Oct 20, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Princess Elizabeth

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the 2nd Western General Hospital in Manchester

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Dec 16, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

 Granted 12 days sick leave

 

Jan 16, 1919

Sentenced to 28 days Field Punishment No. 2 for overstaying his leave from December 28 until January 15.  He also forfeited a total of 46 days pay

Sentenced to a further 21 days Field Punishment No. 2 for being absent from February 8 to February 9.  He also forfeited a total of 22 days pay

Transferred to Military District No. 11 in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada
