After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Mallette joined the 21st Battalion in Manin, France as part of a draft of 10 ORs and was posted to “B” Company

 

Aug 28, 1918

While occupying the south side of the Arras – Cambrai Road, south east of Vis en Artois, France, Private Mallette received a shrapnel wound to his legs and was evacuated to the No. 8 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to a casualty clearing station

 

Aug 29, 1918

Transferred to the No. 26 General Hospital in Etaples, France

 

Sep 1, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Newhaven

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the 1st Western General Hospital in Fazakerley, Liverpool

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Oct 5, 1918

Transferred to the Granville Canadian Special Hospital in Buxton

 

Oct 15, 1918

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

Discharged from hospital and attached to the 1st CCD (Canadian Command Depot) in Witley
