Released from the segregation camp and reported to the 17th Reserve Battalion in Bramshott

Transferred to the 85th Battalion

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 85th Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CCRC (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

While still at the reinforcement camp, and before he could join the 85th Battalion at the front, he was transferred to the 21st Battalion

After leaving the base depot, Private McLean joined the 21st Battalion at front on the Arras – Cambrai Road at Canal du Nord and was posted to “C” Company

 

Oct 11, 1918

During the capture of Iwuy, France, Private McLean received a bullet wound that fractured his right leg and he was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) the next morning

 

Oct 12, 1918

Transferred to the No. 30 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Oct 13, 1918

Transferred to the No. 8 Stationary Hospital in Wimereux, France

 

Oct 21, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship St. David

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the 4th London General Hospital, Denmark Hill, London

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

Transferred to the No. 15 Canadian General Hospital in Taplow

Transferred to the No. 5 Canadian General Hospital in Kirkdale, Manchester
