The 3rd Regimental Draft embarked the SS Melita in Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

 

Mar 4, 1918

Disembarked in Liverpool, England and proceeded to Seaford where the draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

 

Aug 17, 1918

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Aug 18, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Aug 23, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CCRC (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Aug 28, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private McMann joined the 21st Battalion on the south side of the Arras – Cambrai Road, south east of Vis en Artois, France and was posted to “B” Company

 

Sep 18, 1918

While in the front line along the Arras – Cambrai Road west of Canal du Nord, France, Private McMann received a shrapnel wound to his right leg and was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid.  He was transported the same day to a CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Sep 24, 1918

Transferred to the No. 3 Canadian General Hospital in Boulogne, France

 

Sep 26, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Princess Elizabeth

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the 2nd Western General Hospital in Manchester

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Oct 1, 1918

Transferred to the Boundary Park Hospital in Oldham

 

Oct 21, 1918

Transferred to the Nell Lane Military Hospital in West Didsbury, Manchester

 

Dec 2, 1918

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Epsom

 

Jan 29, 1919

Attached to the 3rd CCD (Canadian Command Depot) in Seaford for rehabilitation and exercise

Granted 7 days sick leave

 

Feb 20, 1919

Discharged from hospital care and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

Transferred to Military District No. 3 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada
