Disembarked in Glasgow, Scotland and proceeded to Seaford, England where the draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Jun 11, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Jun 17, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Jul 26, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Meilleur joined the 21st Battalion resting in Manin, France and was posted to “B” Company

 

Aug 27, 1918

While advancing south of the Arras – Cambrai Road just east of Vis en Artois, France the battalion came under a gas attack and Private Meilleur suffered from the exposure and was evacuated to the No. 8 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 42 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station).  He was transferred the same day to the No. 12 Stationary Hospital in St. Pol, France

Transferred to the No. 1 Casualty Clearing Station, then on to the No. 30 Casualty Clearing Station

 

Sep 14, 1918

Transferred back to the No. 12 Stationary Hospital in St. Pol, France

 

Oct 10, 1918

After being discharged from hospital care, he rejoined the 21st Battalion west of Iwuy, France

 

Dec 13, 1918

The 21st Battalion led the 2nd Canadian Division across the Bonn Bridge to enter Germany as part of the Occupying Force and proceeded to Sieburg

 

 

Apr 3, 1919

Embarked the Western Australia in Havre, France

 

On arrival in England, he was attached to “P” Wing in Witley pending return to Canada

 

May 14, 1919

Embarked the SS Caronia in Liverpool

 

 

May 22, 1919

Disembarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario by train

Discharged from the CEF in Kingston, Ontario
