Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

After leaving the base depot, Private O’Shea joined the 21st Battalion in Fouquescourt, France and was posted to “B” Company

 

Aug 25, 1918

During fighting at Achicourt, France, Private O’Shea received a shrapnel wound to his right arm and was evacuated to the No. 5 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to a CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Aug 27, 1918

Transferred to the No. 4 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Aug 30, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Princess Elizabeth

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the County of Middlesex War Hospital St. Albans

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Sep 26, 1918

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

 

Oct 28, 1918

Discharged from hospital and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

Granted 12 days sick leave

 

Dec 3, 1918

Transferred to Military District Wing No. 3 Wing in Kinmel Park, Rhyl pending return to Canada
