Embarked the SS Empress of Britain in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Disembarked in Liverpool, England and the battalion proceeded to the West Sandling Camp, near Hythe, Kent to continue training

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Jun 29, 1916

Arrived at the CBD (Canadian Base Depot) in the Rouelles Camp, Havre, France and TOS (Taken On Strength) the 21st Battalion

 

Jul 13, 1916

After leaving the base depot, Private Ouellette joined the 21st Battalion in the Chippawa Camp near La Clytte, Belgium.  The battalion was participating in a sports day and it was announced that their Commanding Officer, L/Col WSP Hughes, had been promoted to Brig Gen and was leaving to take command of the 10th Brigade.

Private Ouellette crossed the Bonn Bridge with the 21st Battalion to enter Germany as part of the Occupying Force and proceeded to Seigburg

Granted 14 days leave

 

Feb 7, 1919

Rejoined the battalion in Ham sur Sambre, Belgium

 

Apr 3, 1919

Embarked the Western Australia in Havre, France

 

On arriving in England Private Ouellette was transferred to the “P” Wing in Witley for processing prior to embarking for Canada

Embarked the SS Caronia in Liverpool

 

 

May 22, 1919

Disembarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario by train

 






May 24, 1919

Discharged from the CEF in Kingston, Ontario
