After attending
a performance at the Kingston Grand Concert Hall, Private Pipe fell down the stairs while
leaving the hall and fractured his ankle. He
was admitted to the Kingston General Hospital where surgery was performed to set the ankle
and his leg was put into a cast. During the
surgery, parts of 2 bones were removed, resulting in his right leg being 2 inches shorter
than his left leg.
