Transferred to the 21st Battalion

Arrived at the No. 2 CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Nov 9, 1917

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CCRC (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Calonne Ricouart, France

 

Feb 19, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Poff joined the 21st Battalion resting in the Alberta Camp near Carency, France and was posted to “C” Company

 

Aug 8, 1918

During the liberation of the town of Marcelcave, France, Private Poff received a chest and was evacuated to the No. 1 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 5 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Aug 9, 1918

Transferred via the No. 26 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 5 General Hospital in Rouen, France

 

Aug 10, 1918

Transferred to the No. 73 General Hospital in Trouville, France

 

Aug 27, 1918

Transferred to the No. 14 Convalescent Depot in Trouville

 

Sep 19, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and reported to the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France

 

Sep 25, 1918

After leaving the base depot, he arrived at the CCRC (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

 

Sep 27, 1918

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Poff rejoined the 21st Battalion in billets west of Amiens, France

 

Oct 11, 1918

During the liberation of the town of Iwuy, France, Private Poff was wounded again, this time to his left hand, and evacuated to the No. 9 Canadian Field Ambulance for first aid before being transported to the nearby casualty clearing station

 

Oct 12, 1918

Transferred to the No. 4 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Oct 16, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Ville de Liege

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Edmonton Special Military Hospital in London

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Jan 9, 1919

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Epsom

 

Jan 27, 1919

Discharged from hospital and attached to the 3rd CCD (Canadian Command Depot) for physical training and exercise

Granted sick leave until February 8, 1919

 

Feb 20, 1919

Transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

 

Mar 12, 1919

Transferred to Military District Wing No. 3 in Kinmel Park pending return to Canada

Embarked the Empress of Britain in Liverpool

Disembarked in Saint John, New Brunswick and proceeded to Kingston, Ontario

Discharged from the CEF in Kingston, Ontario
