Following his discharge, the British War Medal was sent to him in Toronto, Ontario

William Potts served in the Queen’s York Rangers post war and rose to the rank of Major by 1936, earning him the Efficiency Decoration (ED)

William Arthur Potts died at his home 33 Haddington, Ave., Toronto, Ontario of a heart attack and was buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto
