this date, and on subsequent dates, the following were sent to his father, Elijah Rice at
RR #1 Tyrone Ontario  British War Medal Victory Medal Plaque (Death Penny) Scroll Memorial Cross  It should be
noted that the Memorial Cross was sent to his father, as his mother Sarah, had passed away
June 14, 1918, and was entitled to receive the Cross.  It is
doubtful that his father saw any of the above, as he died September 4, 1920, and his
brother, B Howard Rice was taking care of the family’s affairs. A family
history has been prepared by Karn Burns and is  in pdf here | |
