During the liberation of the town of Iwuy, France, Private Richardson received superficial shrapnel wounds to both buttocks and was evacuated to a field ambulance for first aid before being transported to a casualty clearing station

Transferred to the No. 20 Canadian General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Oct 16, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Princess Elizabeth

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Canadian Military Hospital in Colchester

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

Transferred to the Saffron Walden Red Cross Hospital in Saffron Walden

Transferred to the No. 11 Canadian General Hospital in Moore Barracks, Shorncliffe
