While at the NCO school, he reported sick with swelling in his face, feet and legs.

Admitted to the No. 7 Canadian General Hospital in Etaples, France and diagnosed with Influenza

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the Berrington War Hospital in Shrewsbury and Hematuria (blood in urine) was added to the diagnosis

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

Transferred to the Military Convalescent Hospital in Epsom

Transferred to the King’s Canadian Red Cross Hospital in Bushy Park
