Injured in a bicycle accident and admitted to Cedars Hospital with a concussion and wounds to face  

Patient was riding a bicycle down a steep hill when he was thrown off, sustaining a concussion and injuries to face.  He was kept in bed for a few days and soon recovered.  He was given 3 stitches

 

Dec 10, 1915

Discharged from hospital and granted 4 days sick leave

Returned to duty from sick leave

Wounded at the battle for Vimy Ridge by shrapnel to left arm fracturing the radius bone in 2 places and admitted to CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Admitted to No 1 Convalescent Depot at Boulogne with a fractured radial bone.  The bone was completely separated in 2 places.

Transferred to No 3 Canadian General Hospital at Boulogne

For the 7 nights leading up to November 11, 2010, the names of all Canadian soldiers were projected onto the Belgian War Memorial in Ypres.  At the same time, the same names were being broadcast via the internet to schools across Belgium and Canada.  The image above shows the opening ceremonies at the Belgian War Memorial on November 4, 2010.
