During heavy fighting west of Guemappe, France, Private Robitaille received a shrapnel wound to his right leg and was evacuated to the No. 4 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 33 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

 

Aug 27, 1918

Transferred via the No. 6 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 55 General Hospital in Boulogne, France

 

Sep 4, 1918

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship St. Denis

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to Tankerton Hospital in Whitstable

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

Transferred to the No. 9 Canadian General Hospital in Shorncliffe

 

Oct 4, 1918

Transferred to the Princess Patricia Canadian Red Cross Hospital in the Cooden Camp, Bexhill
