Disembarked in Boulogne, France and the battalion proceeded to St. Omer

Attached to the 4th CIB (Canadian Infantry Brigade) Trench Mortar Battery

Admitted to the Shorncliffe Military Hospital while on leave with an injured penis, later noted as Chancroids

Transferred to the CCAC (Canadian Casualty Assembly Centre) for pay purposes while in hospital

After leaving the entrenching battalion, Hubert Roblin rejoined the 21st Battalion near Albert

Proceeded on Gas Course at Le Touquet, France

Rejoined the battalion from gas course

 

Apr 9, 1917

During the capture of Vimy Ridge, France, Sergeant Roblin received a bullet wound to the palm and thumb of his left hand and was evacuated to a field ambulance for first aid before being transferred to a casualty clearing station

Transferred to the No. 8 Stationary Hospital in Wimereux

 

Apr 14, 1917

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Jan Breydel

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the 3rd Western General Hospital in Cardiff

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while in hospital

Transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital in Woodcote Park, Epsom

 

Jun 6, 1917

Discharged from hospital and transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford

 

May 7, 1918

Transferred to the Seaford Headquarters Sub Staff in Seaford

 

May 9, 1918

Appointed to the rank of Acting Company Sergeant Major Instructor with pay

Ceased to be an instructor, but continued to receive pay for rank of Acting Sergeant Major
