the 6th Regimental Draft embarked the SS Tunisian in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Disembarked in Liverpool, England and the entire draft was absorbed into the 1st Canadian Reserve Battalion to continue training

Prior to joining the reserve battalion however, the draft was placed in isolation to ensure that none of the members were suffering from influenza or other communicable diseases

Transferred to the 7th Battalion

 

Aug 21, 1918

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 7th Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he joined the Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp in Aubin St. Vaast, France

While still at the reinforcement camp, and before he could join the 7th Battalion, he was transferred to the 21st Battalion

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Roman joined the 21st Battalion east of Arras, France

 

Oct 11, 1918

During the liberation of Iwuy, France, Private Roman received shrapnel wounds to his left arm and leg.  He was evacuated to the No. 9 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid

 

Oct 12, 1918

Transferred to the No. 1 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Transferred via the No. 22 AT (Ambulance Train) and admitted to the No. 18 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Oct 24, 1918

Transferred to the No. 6 Convalescent Depot in Etaples, France

 

Nov 10, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and reported to the Canadian Infantry Base Depot in Etaples

 

Jan 24, 1919

Transferred to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) in Witley, England

 

Feb 4, 1919

Transferred to the 6th Reserve Battalion in Seaford
