Private Scott suffered an accidental injury to his right eyebrow and was admitted to the Mixte Hospital in Alencon, France

Daniel Scott died while a patient of the Ottawa, Ontario Civic Hospital of complications of Diabetes and was buried in the Sandy Hook Cemetery, Malloch Road, Arnprior, Ontario
