In April of 1924, he arrived back in Canada aboard the SS Montcalm.  He claimed that although he was traveling alone, his next of kin was listed as his wife, Kathleen Florence Spring, living at 13 Acton Lane, Harlesden, London, England.  He stated that he was proceeding to see his 2nd Cousin, Mr H Hillier at 65 Louty Ave, Toronto Ontario, and intended to settle on a farm somewhere.
