Disembarked at Devonport England and proceeded to the West Sandling Camp near Hythe Kent

Embarked the St Seiriol at Folkestone

 

 

Sep 15, 1915

Disembarked at Havre France and proceeded to St Omer

 

Nov 5, 1916

Awarded the Good Conduct Badge

 

Dec 8, 1916

Granted 10 days leave

 

Jan 17, 1917

Admitted to the Field Ambulance with shrapnel wounds to his left arm and right foot.  He was then transferred to the Casualty Clearing Station for further treatment

 

Jan 21, 1917

Transferred to the No 4, General Hospital at Camiers

 

Jan 24, 1917

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship Newhaven

Posted to the CCAC (Canadian Casualty Assembly Centre) while in hospital 

Admitted to the Metropolitan Hospital in London. 

 

Feb 2, 1917

Surgery performed to remove shrapnel ball from his foot

 

Mar 10, 1917

SOS (Struck Off Strength) of CCAC and posted to the EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) while in hospital

 

Mar 14, 1917

Transferred to the Hillingdon House Hospital at Uxbridge

 

Apr 6, 1917

Discharged from hospital and granted sick leave until April 16, 1917 

TOS (Taken On Strength) the 6th Reserve Battalion at Seaford

 

Apr 16, 1917

Reported to the 6th Reserve Battalion from leave

 

May 8, 1917

Admitted to the Military Hospital at Eastbourne with complications from his wounds

Discharged from hospital with a medical classification of A3 (A3 is for soldiers requiring therapy before returning to the front)

British War Medal and Victory Medals were sent to him at Box 869 Pembroke Ontario

 

Aug 24, 1922 

A letter was delivered to him at 111 Frank St, Ottawa Ontario from the Dept of Militia and Defence, informing him about a grave in Belgium that identifies him as being buried there.

Married to Evangeline Booth Patterson at Ottawa Ontario 

Occupation given as Civil Servant

Canadian Voter’s List shows him living at 105 Strathcona Ave, Apartment #1, Ottawa Ontario and lists his occupation as Civil Servant 

It is noted that he retired from the Civil Service in 1952 and moved to Huntsville Ontario
