Disembarked in Liverpool, England and proceeded to Seaford where the entire draft was absorbed into the 6th Reserve Battalion to continue training

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

Arrived at the CIBD (Canadian Infantry Base Depot) in Etaples, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

After leaving the base depot, he joined the CC Rein C (Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp) in Aubin St. Vaast, France

While still at the reinforcement camp, and before he could join the 21st Battalion at the front, he was transferred to the 44th Battalion

After leaving the reinforcement camp, Private Vance joined the 44th Battalion west of Douai, France

While in action near Famars, France, Private Vance received a shrapnel wound to his right hand and was evacuated to the No. 13 CFA (Canadian Field Ambulance) for first aid before being transported to the No. 42 CCS (Casualty Clearing Station)

Transferred to the No. 22 General Hospital in Camiers, France

 

Nov 6, 1918

Transferred to the No. 6 Convalescent Depot in Etaples, France

 

Nov 17, 1918

Transferred to the No. 5 Convalescent Depot in Cayeux, France

 

Dec 25, 1918

Discharged from hospital care and reported to the Canadian Infantry Base Depot in Etaples, France

 

Jan 8, 1919

Proceeded to England and transferred to the NBRD (New Brunswick Regimental Depot).  He was then attached to the CARD (Canadian Artillery Reserve Depot) in Bordon

Transferred to the CFA (Canadian Field Artillery) Reserve Brigade in Witley
