Embarked the SS Empress of Britain in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Disembarked in Liverpool, England and the battalion proceeded to the West Sandling Camp, near Hythe, Kent to continue training

Transferred to the 21st Battalion

 

Jun 29, 1916

Arrived at the CBD (Canadian Base Depot) in the Rouelles Camp, Havre, France and Taken On Strength of the 21st Battalion

 

Jul 30, 1916

After leaving the base depot, Private Wilson joined the 21st Battalion in resting in the Micmac Camp near Dikkebus, Belgium

 

Sep 15, 1916

During the capture of the sugar factory south of Courcelette, France, Private Wilson received shrapnel wounds to his left arm and leg.  He was evacuated to a field ambulance for first aid before being transported to a casualty clearing station where surgery was performed to repair damage to his arm

 

Sep 16, 1916

Transferred to the No. 2 Canadian Stationary Hospital in Outreau, France where surgery was performed to remove shrapnel from his leg

 

Sep 19, 1916

Invalided to England aboard the Hospital Ship St. David

 

On arrival in England, he was admitted to the University College Hospital, Gower St., London

Transferred to the CCAC (Canadian Casualty Assembly Centre) for pay purposes while in hospital

 

Sep 29, 1916

Transferred to Countess of Dundonald Hospital in London

 

Nov 17, 1916

Transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital in Bromley

 

Jan 10, 1917

Attached to the 3rd CCD (Canadian Command Depot) in Seaford for physical training and exercise

Transferred to the newly formed EORD (Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot) for pay purposes while attached to the 3rd Canadian Command Depot
